To start with, if you have subscribed to my Substack for a while, you may have noticed that I have unpublished my previous posts, because my focus has changed and I no longer can, in good conscience, promote Freemasonry.
I was initiated an Entered Apprentice in 2018 at Oak Island Lodge #758 in Oak Island, NC. This was after 15+ years of contemplation, ponderances of what Freemasonry is and whether it is right for me. I should mention that this was my second attempt to become a Mason after black cube rejection at another Lodge near Oak Island #758 six months prior. I’ll never know why this happened, because these Masons followed the tradition of not speaking about the votes they cast. I have theories, but I choose to view it as the men opposed to me were doing what they believed to be the best for Masonry.
What I found in Masonry was electrifying and revolutionizing my outlook on humanity. I thought my journey would help me connect with the historical roots of our country and its founding. What I found is so much more than that. The Masonic principles in which I was immersed, and which were demonstrated by these great men around me quickly became a central focus of my life.
Despite all that has transpired, I still have a fondness for concept of this esteemed fraternity. The tenets of Freemasonry are not unique, these have all been borrowed and adapted from many ancient mystery schools, gnostic, mystic, and hermetic disciplines. All the benefits of this ancient Craft can be found elsewhere. These are the areas where I will put my efforts.
My emotions towards what has transpired over the past week are still too raw for me to express, so this will have to be in a future post.
My apologies to anyone who is only interested in the salacious details. You will have to wait.
Here’s a foreign concept: If you want to know more about what’s happening or how it’s impacting me, there are several options. You can… call me, respond to this post, or what I predict will be the most popular option, engage with the rumor mill.
